BLOG TROUBLES

I've got some blog issues - not sure when I'll be up again.
Right now I'm trying to catch a raccoon! No kidding.
Thanks for waiting. MB

"PROCESS - GEORGE"

You can see my original painting in the left hand corner.
The original was 8" X 8" and the new painting is 36" X 36".
This is from a photo that my neighbor's Mark & Marilyn took a while ago.
They are both excellent photographers and carry their cameras where ever they travel.
They are extremely generous with their magnificent photographic collection.
I couldn't paint George Town - George without their help and inspiration.
Marilyn and Mark always seem to be in the right place
at the right time for these one of a kind shots.
It takes a village!
Thanks - MB

"GEORGE"

Here he is finished. The background is a muted green like photo below.
Didn't get that quite right for this shot.

Here's my new hanging system in my studio. I wanted to have my
paintings out instead of packed away under my bench. You can
see some scale in this photo.
Small squares are 6"X6" George is 36" X 36".
Thanks for taking a look.

"BUDDY"

Buddy doesn't like to have his picture taken - I had to wait 3 months
for a good shot of Buddy and this is the happy result!

"HANDSOME"

This is my Georgi Porgi Corgi!
He's a happy boy.

"FIRST TRACKS"

I usually don't venture much into landscape but loved this idea so I gave it a go. For those of you
who don't ski these are my first tracks on this run. It's what we call skiing untracked powder.
This run is a 30 minute climb from my house(that means I climb up the hill on my skis for 30
minutes - ski down and then climb up to the top - that's a shorter climb more like 15 minutes
then I ski it again - climb up again and ski again) That's how I stay in shape in the winter
and that's why I'm always praying for snow - because I love to ski!

"BIRD ON A WIRE"

Chickadee II
Thanks a bunch, MB!

"MY LITTLE CHICKADEE"

It's been years since I painted some chickadees. They are one of my
favorite little birds. I'd like to do a series but this will have to do
for now. It's been a crazy start to the New Year.
Hope all is well with everyone.
