"SWEETY"

I know it's been a while but really I have been working.  I just completed this 16" X 20". It took me a while to get it to where I wanted it - I think it's there. I want my portrait assignments to have a painterly quality and also represent the subject as accurately as the process and my artistic ability will allow.
Thanks for following. Sorry it's a longtime in between postings it's just the way it is right now.

  1. Holy cow - this is an amazing portrait - those eyes - those eyes! It is an interesting piece as this appears that this little girl is fairly intense - with that gaze and open lips - then her hair is so playful and almost dances with her. And her hands are lovely - so delicate with just the right amount of "pudgy." You are a pro, MB -

  2. Thank-you so much, MB, for sharing your work -- it is so inspiring to see what you are up to on any given day. I appreciate the variety of subjects and each time I think that this is what your specialty is, you come up with something new that is equal to or better than the previous one. . . I do have to agree with Nancy, though -- this is a really lovely portrait -- along with the intensity in the eyes, I see an innocence and as you said, sweetness, that in combination, is completely captivating!
