"JOE BENDER ON SAFARI"

I have had Joe Bender riding this elephant for many years. He's been sitting on a shelf in my studio. Daily painting has allowed me the freedom to finally paint this fun scene. Don't use much paint, small canvas etc. It's really freeing in a way. I'm giving it away for the holidays - I won't say anymore it's a secret.

    So, I've been thinking of painting an elephant and now you've inspired me. LOVE Joe Bender on the top - reminds me of Hadley who mounts all her animal toys (her favorites) with tinier animals (e.g., a lion sits on an elephant, a small cow rides a giraffe, etc. - she does this for hours and hours day after day after day). I find your whimsical heart absolutely inspiring. Thank you.
