MOOSE & MR. FOX

MR. Fox
The light in my studio has not been optimal for photography and the fox is too
wet to move. Anyway this gives some idea of what he looks like finished.
He's going to live in Vermont with his buddy Mr. Moose.
I'm hoping to get you a final photo in May when he's dry but this is as good as it gets for now.
Thanks for waiting. MB

MOOSE & FOX PROCESS

This is not the best photo but you get the idea.
The fox is finished but I couldn't get a decent photo.
Maybe I'll get lucky tomorrow with the light in the studio so I can get a good shot.
The fox is sitting on what I call a stump-rock! The shape changed radically for three days.
Wipe it away and start again. I'm happy with the end result but it wasn't easy getting there.
Thanks for waiting MB.

Fox

Here's the start to a red fox commission painting.
30" X 30"
This handsome fellow will live with his buddy the moose in Vermont.
It took me a while to get this far I'm hoping to finish the fox today.
We'll see how that goes. Thanks a bunch. MB

LINE DANCING

Here's what the 3" X 3" paintings look like all lined up.
It's kind of fun to see them all together.
Gordy
Here's a new 3" X 3" - he's a different rendition of the same cow.
I love to paint his expression.
Thanks a bunch MB!

Here's another small painting from my Less is More series.

I went for my first bike ride of the season - feels like summer out there.
Hopefully there's more snow on the way soon.

Chocolate Moose

I just couldn't resist - I have 4 moose living in my yard. The twins along with
Mom and Dad. This is big Daddy giving me the eye but he's perfectly comfortable where he is.
My corgi Lulu was out there trying to tell them they were in her yard - didn't seem to faze them one bit.
Hope you're having a wonderful day! MB

Hilton Gulch School House
3" X 3"

Here's the newest in my series "Less is More"
It's been awhile since I've painted so I wanted to start with something familiar.
It's great to be back painting.

BIKE PROCESS

I started painting this bike as a demo for first Friday - this is how far I got!
It was a busy night and lots of friends stopped by which makes the evening special.
Rather than have it dry with thick paint I performed my newsprint trick to pull
off most the paint while leaving the image. If you're unfamiliar with that technique
you take plain newsprint(no writing on it) press it onto your image a rub the back of the
newsprint with your palm. It took about 4 rubbings to get most of the paint off till I have time
to get back to this little gem. The other bike I painted last week is on my website
mbwarner.com up for auction. It has a couple of bids - I'm giving the auction platform
a go to see if I can sell a few small works here and there.
Thanks for taking a look - not sure how posting is going to go.
I have a 30" X 30" commission to get under way. Once I get it going
I'll post the progress.
